It would be really helpful if the game
schedules for the kids were posted/updated on a regular basis. It is
1:45 on Friday and the web page still has last weeks schedule. Thanks.
Dear Parents, I created this web-site as a way to promote the band as
well as one source for information. Please understand, it is
done on my free time, and during marching season, there are limits to that.
Please consider your child, rather than this site, as your primary source of
information. For game schedules, the students are either given a hand
out or asked to copy the schedule written out on the board by every
Wednesday, if not earlier. I will continue to try and post the game
itineraries on the site as a courtesy. I hope this clears up any
confusion created by offering the site. I am very pleased that the site is
frequented and will try to keep it as up to date as possible. If you are not
getting the information you need, please do not hesitate to call me.

WOW!!! It
looks like I'm the first "Jaguar Band Alumni" to sign the guestbook! I
really like all of the new stuff added to the website!! It looks great!
To Mr. Rives, hope you enjoy the band here, I know I did! It's kind of
weird not thinking about DMA or Summer Band Camp. All I know is that
I'm just happy to be graduated! I feel somewhat OLD now. By the way, I
tried to talk to most of you after graduation to tell you how much I'm going
to miss being around ya'll next year. If I didn't get to talk to you, my
sincerest apologies. The performance at Reunion Arena went very well,
however, it was a little strange not playing with the band for once. LOL :)
I may not be in high school anymore, but that doesn't mean that you won't
see me around. I intend to come to as many games and concerts as I
possibly can! Homecoming for sure!
It is going to be very busy next year in college at UNT. In fact, it's
busy right now!!! I'm taking courses in Vocal Coaching and Opera
Theatre over the summer sessions! Most of you remember my constant and
nagging singing over the past few years, and my aspirations to become an
OPERA SINGER!;) LOL!!! I got cast in the Summer Opera Workshop at UNT
and will be working with the cast and directors for most of the summer. It's
a comedy where an entire family tries to steal the wealthy grandfather's
money and property. I play his really uptight nephew. I even have a
wife and son in the show!!! If any of you would like to come see it, let me
know by e-mail or something. I don't know what dates my performances are
yet, but if you want to get a group together and come to see it, I may be
able to get a group discount or something like that. I know that those
of you in Mrs. Muhl's class could probably use the extra credit over the
summer, to get a head start!
Well band, I have considered it a rare privilege to be a part of brand new
band and help it from scratch. From the first day of band camp, back when we
were only 35 people strong, to my last day of being a part of such a great
group of peers and mentors, I have enjoyed getting to know and becoming
friends with all of you. Helping to establish traditions and ideas that will
ALWAYS make this band unique has been one of the many joys I have received
from being in this band. I will never, ever forget you and the positive
impact you have all had on my life. Keep striving for excellence and I look
forward to the day I see this band at State! Thank you all again for
making my high school experience that much greater.
